PSYCHOLOGIST
The psychologist at our community behavioral health services agency provides psychological assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions to individuals with mental health and behavioral challenges. This role involves working collaboratively with clients and a multidisciplinary team to promote mental health and well-being.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to diagnose and understand clients; mental health conditions and challenges.

Develop and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address clients; emotional and psychological needs.

Provide individual and group therapy sessions using various therapeutic modalities tailored to each client's unique circumstances.

Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, medical doctors, case managers, and other mental health professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care.

Offer crisis intervention and immediate support to clients during emotional distress or crisis situations.

Develop treatment plans that align with clients; goals, utilizing a recovery-oriented and client-centered approach.

Document all client interactions, assessments, treatment plans, and progress accurately
in electronic health records. -
Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, coping strategies, and wellness practices.

Stay updated on advancements in psychological research, therapeutic approaches, and
best practices in mental health care. -
Participate in case conferences, treatment planning meetings, and collaborative discussions with the care team.
QUALIFICATIONS

Doctoral degree in clinical psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.

State licensure as a psychologist in good standing.

Experience in providing psychological assessments, psychotherapy, and therapeutic interventions.

Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities and the ability to tailor approaches to individual client needs.

Strong interpersonal skills to establish client rapport, promote empowerment, and facilitate group interactions.

Excellent communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and client advocacy.

Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation in electronic health records systems.
WORK CONDITIONS
The psychologist will work within a community behavioral health services facility, conducting
therapy sessions both in-person and potentially through telehealth platforms. This role may
require a flexible schedule to accommodate clients; needs, including some evenings and weekends.
